Field Trip - 5th Grade - Sutter's Fort

5th Grade!! You're headed to SUTTER'S FORT!!

Students will be attending a field trip to Sutter’s Fort and the IMAX movie theater on May 13th.

Sutter’s Fort: Docents will lead students through a series of interactive stations where they will learn about the major trades that supported Sutter’s Fort during the 1840s. These stations explore the lasting impacts these trades had on California’s environment, as well as on the Native peoples of the Sacramento Valley, whose labor was central to the history of the Fort.

IMAX Theater: The Esquire IMAX Theatre is committed to education through large-format films. Students will watch Deep Space, which connects with our K–12 curriculum and state education standards. These films are designed to “engage, entertain, and educate” students while serving as a valuable educational resource for teachers.

💲 Cost: $15 per student

📅 Payment Due: Friday, May 1st

📄 Permission Slips: Will be sent home in folders. Please sign and return promptly.
